This landscape (horizontal) format print is taken from a photograph  showing the scene looking east from Barras Nose, a headland near Tintagel, Cornwall, England. Barras Nose is close to Tintagel Castle, famous for its association with Arthurian legend. It was concern over the building of houses and hotels in and around Tintagel that led to the National Trust (only formed in 1895) getting its first bit of the English coastline in 1897 by buying Barras Nose. Captured whilst my wife and I were staying nearby, the photograph shows the sea cliffs and rocky shore typical of the Atlantic, North Coast of Cornwall. Sometimes described as an endless procession of rocky coves receding into the distance, this picture certainly shows that to be true with several headlands visible before the wide sweep of the cliffs of Bude Bay can just be made out in the distance.
