St Anne’s Limehouse is one of several London Churches by the architect Nicholas Hawksmoor. He was a contemporary of Christopher Wren and worked with him on a number of buildings including St Paul’s Cathedral. St Anne’s was consecrated in 1730 following the 1711 Act of Parliament which included the building of eleven other churches as well.
