Locomotive 34042, 'Lord Dowding' waits at Reigate Station whilst hauling a steam special. Originally built at Brighton as a different Bullied Light Pacific Class, which were common in the Southern Region as West Country Class and Merchant Navy Class its true number is 34046. Scrapped and moved to Barry in 1965 it was then moved to Brighton for restoration. After initially being taken on by the West Somerset Railway it passed into private ownership and is still privately owned.
