The four buildings of Marina Heights contain luxury apartments. Most of them with views over the waters of Limehouse Basin and the River Thames. Built in 1998 these prestigious homes have one, two or three bedrooms. They are ideally situated for commuting to the City or Canary Wharf and so command the high prices you would expect. Out of sight behind Marina Heights is the unusual, octagonal pumping station. It housed a steam engine to provide hydraulic pressure used to drive capstans, lock gates, swing bridges and the innovative machinery for handling coal. Surely the subject for a future print.
