Commercial Road Lock

Commercial Road Lock is Lock 12 on the Regent's Canal and this landscape format (horizontal) black and white print shows the lock viewed from under the railway bridge. This lock allows the passage of boats from the canal itself into what was originally known as Regent's Canal Dock but is now called Limehouse Basin. There is another lock between Limehouse Basin and the River Thames and out to sea. There is another canal, the Limehouse Cut links northeast to the Lea Navigation which joins allows canal traffic from Hertford, north of London.
