This wonderful, iconic, Victorian brick-built Lewes brewery dates from 1880. Designed by the brewery specialist, architect William Bradford, this Gothic structure is on the site of an earlier building and has become synonymous with Lewes since its opening.
Started by John Harvey in 1790, Harvey’s is the oldest independent brewery in Sussex. It is now run by the seventh generation John’s descendants and is still privately owned.
