Renamed by the American Ornithologists’ Union in 2011, the Common Gallinule (Gallinula galeata) was previously known as the Common Moorhen. It was felt that there were sufficient differences to label it separately from the European Common Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus). This colour landscape (horizontal) format print was create from a photograph shot in Florida. It may be available as an even larger print in the future.
