This is a landscape (horizontal) format print of an American Alligator (Alligator mississippiensis).
I photographed it whilst on a wildlife photography trip to the Florida swamps. The southern US is one of the only places in the world where both Alligators and Crocodiles can be found. A long lens helped to keep a relatively safe distance from this predator. Alligators can move quickly for short distances on land.
