Limited Edition Fine Art Prints

Your prints are produced by theprintspace using Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. It is a premium quality fine art printing paper. Hahnemühle Photo Rag produces saturated colours and dense blacks. It has been deliberately chosen because of its matt finish. When mounted and framed behind glass you will be able to view the print without the excessive reflections that high gloss paper can produce.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag is a premium quality fine art paper but it will not give the same effect as a screen. Screens use transmitted light like the sun through a stained glass window but they also need to be frequently calibrated, frequently re-set to the correct brilliance and be viewed in a colour neutral environment to give perfect reproduction. Not only that but a screen can reproduce more colours and hence colour tones than a print can. What you see on screen should only be thought of as a guide to what the printed image could look like. We use profiling supplied by our printers to ensure the best possible quality and the catalogue images shown used soft-proofed captures to ensure the closest possible match to the actual print.

Art is very personal. Trying the small or medium sizes first will help you to decide if a particular piece of art is for you. If you have a larger display space to fill, two small or medium prints can work very well together.

It is recommended that you have your  prints professionally mounted to ensure you have the best viewing experience. The prints are all produced with a small border to aid mounting in a standard imperial size mat mount. This should typically be two to four inches around the print. This will considerably increase the overall size of your display.

You may wish to try mounting the prints yourself. This is why they are supplied in standard sizes with a border. A mat mount and backing is always advisable for the best look and longevity. An archival mounting system using the correct type of tape or other attachment method is strongly recommended.

Although not recommended, the prints could be mounted directly into a frame without a mat mount but the white border of the print may need trimming.
